unsuccessful是形容詞, "不成功" 的意思.英文裡說一個人做一件事不成功, 會說"made an unsuccessful attempt" "tried unsuccessfully"等.
上面那一句"made an unsuccessful audition"就是說, 去參加了試演, 但不成功, 不獲起用
