1. On a square plot of land, 4 identical buildings are built. The remaining area of the land is developed into a garden. If the base area of each building is 2500m² and the garden has an area of 30000m², finf the length of each side of the plot of land.

The total surface area of the land:

building 2500m² X4 = 10000m²
garden 30000 m²

So Building + garden = 40000m²

Therefore the length of each side of the plot of land is :
Square root of 40000 = 200

Total Area of the 4 buildings occupied : 4 X 2,500m² = 10,000m²

Area of the square plot of land: 10,000m² + 30,000m² = 40,000m²

Therefore, the length of each side of the plot of land:
=> square root of 40,000m² = 200m
