A woman dilute a cleanser using water in the sink. (SHe add the cleanser into water) She washed the remaining substances away after the dilution. The pipe below the sink suddenly melted.
WHY? HOW TO PREVENT THIS HAPPEN?

first of all I'm not quite sure of what kind of cleanser are you talking about. But in generall, you can turn on the tap as much as possible and just let the water run so that the chemical can be diluted away. *** but if the pipe has ALREADY been melted. DON'T turn on the tap. There's nothing you can now except from calling the pipe expert to help.

I think the cleanser maybe had a chemical reaction with the pipe,then it makes the sink melted.
