The use of the official under-water case is better.
It can give you the same function as use on land. All the button and switch can be adjusted as usual. Meanwhile, normally it can withstand 30-50 meter deep water pressure.

For the pouch/bag type under-water bags, it would be the cheapest option for a Digital Camera to be used under water. However, as the lens length change (during zoom function of some digital camera), it would have some problem on the bag.
Meanwhile, when it need to use the built-in Flash, the bag would not give the correct reflect of the light.
However, it is good for use in beach, pool side or water sport for protection of the DC.

For under-water photo taking, a tailor made underwater case shall be used.
