1) Which sex had a greater lung capacity on average?
Of course, males had a greater lung capacity on average. (Total Lung Capacity, TLC, is the sum of vital volume and residue volume.) [the sum of tidal volume, inspiratory reserve volume and expiratory reserve volume is called vital volume]

2) What is the lung capacity difference between males and females based on our class data?
That is the total volume of gas taken into their lungs during rest state, depth inspiration and expiration by males are greater than that of females. Of course, the residue volume inside the lungs must be measured.

3) Do you think sex plays a role in the lung capacity of an individual?
Yes, sex does play a role in the lung capacity of an individual.

4) Give me 1 reason ( other than sex ) how an individual many develop a greater lung capacity?
Since males are basically muscular and greater than females in their body sizes, they must need a greater TLC to support these types of body sizes so that their body cells can have enough oxygen to be supplied from their lungs during gaseous exchanges.
I hope my answer can help you.
