in aussie, no kintergarden is necessary, it is optional. then start from grade 1 equivalent to p1 in hkg up to grade 6. grade 7 equivalent to f1 in hkg and up to grade 10 equivalent to f5. there is an exam--school cert. formally it was optional but now it is a necessity. then grade 11 to grade 12. after grade 12 it wl be the tertiary (university). and there is another pathway, go to community college TAFE run by ferderal government after grade 10. finished and matched certain requirment, could entry the university. by theory could enter the 2nd year but reality is even enter the first year of uni hv to thank your ancestors!
in your case, f5 graduate, hv not taken the Exam, normally couldnot enter 'normal' university or TAFE. private or never heard of ones are out of topics. foreign students are fortune god of aussie! local citizen pay 2 systems. one is with government subsidized. and the other is non subsidized. i think u wl interest in the latter. it ranges from 50,000 to 120,000 per degree. and expect foreign students pay double than that la.
