✔ 最佳答案
Area of 7 feet by 7 feet patch of grass
= 7 X 7
= 49 sq. feet

Area of 21 feet by 14 feet patch of grass
= 21 X 14
= 294 sq. feet

Let x ounces of fertilizer is need for the rectangular lawn

x / 3 = 294 / 49
x = 18

So, 18 ounces of fertilitzer will be needed for a rectangular lawn that is 21 feet by 14 feet.

From the question, u get this ratio:

3 ounces of fertilizer
----------------------------
7*7 feet^2 grass

then,

3 ounces of fertilizer X 21*14 feet^2 grass
----------------------------
7*7 feet^2 grass

cancel the same unit and do the arithmetic

the answer is 18 ounces of fertilizers
