The sinking and floating of Titanic

1. The Titanic was made of steel and weighed over 47000 tons. How could such a ship float on water?

2. Why did it sink when it hit the iceberg?

1. Although it is very heavy but Atlantic Ocean is very deep also, it has a huge floating power
2. Because the iceberg is hard and firm enough to break the Titanic
