1. In a pocket, there are some 50¢coins and $2 coins in the ratio of 10:7, if there are 21 $2 coins, find the total value of all coins in the pocket.

2. 30km/h : 10 m/s = ?

3. Fanny works 9 hours a day, 5 days a week with weekly wages of $ 2070.
How many days should Fanny at least work to earn $ 5060 ??

4. On a ship, the amount of food there can supply 200 adults for 25 days or 500 children for 40 days. If there are k tonnes of food on the ship, (a) how many tonnes of food does each adult consume daily?

1)since50¢coins and $2 coins in the ratio of 10:7,21 $2 coins
the ratio is 30:21(30=21/7*10)
the total value=30(50)+2(21)=$1542
2)30km/h=3000m /3600s=0.833m/s
1:120(not sure)
3)let x be the day fanny should work:
(2070/5)x=5060
x=12.2

Total value of all coins in the pocket
= 30*0.5 + 21*2
= $57

30km/h : 10 m/s
=30,000m/h : 10m/s
= 30,000/3600 m /s : 10m/s
= 5:6

Hourly wages of Fanny
= $2,070 / 5
= $46 per hour
No. of days Fanny work to earn $5,060
= $5,060 / $46 / 9
= 12.2 days
Fanny at least work 13 days to earn $5,060
If including the weekday, Fanny need 2 weeks and 3 days to earn (i.e. 17 days)

= k/ (200*25)
= k/5000 tonnes

tones of food each child consume daily
= k/20,000 tonnes
Each day with 500 adults and 500 child, the daily consumption of food is
=(k/5000 + k/20000) * 500
= k/8 tonnes
Number of days the food can supply last
= k / (k/8)
= 8 days
