<使> 係一個多音字:

音: sai2 洗
解: 使用, 使氣, 支使

音: si3 肂, 駟,
解: 使者, 使命, 使館

音: si2 史
解: 使女, 使用, 使性

"屎"用 is older;
"洗"用 is the people who say it now.

But two of these is all okay... ...
