A convex lens is used to project a image on a translucent screen. A observer is

obeserving the image directly through the screen. If a piece of paper is used to

cover one-half of the lens, which of the following describes the change in the

image as seen by the observer?

A. The whole image can still be seen but the image becomes dimmer.
As every tiny part of the image is formed by a bundle of light from the object travelling through every single region of the convex lens, covering half of the lens only stop the transmission of part of the light bundle, resulting in a dimmer image.
