影響:

(3)斷流以下地區用水嚴重不足。

(4)斷流時間發生於3~7月，正是魚類產卵繁殖期，造成魚類的滅絕。

(5)影響河口三角洲溼地保護區植物、鳥類的生存。
成因:人口成長與經濟發展，引用黃河水量增加，導致黃河下游河水有時完全乾涸而斷流;以1997年七月為例:黃河河水在河南開封以下即發生斷流。
