發跡於德州、而後以田納西州的納許維爾為創作起源的啷噹六便士Sixpence None The Richer，成軍超過12年。最早隸屬於Flying Tart廠牌的啷噹六便士，主要以Leigh Nash（主唱）、Matt Slocum（吉他及鍵盤手）為核心人物，98年發表、99年聲名大噪的單曲「親吻我Kiss Me」，讓他們正式進入主流市場，但在之前，啷噹六便士早有四張流行民謠的專輯作品。
「啷噹六便士」，團名來自英國文學大師路易斯C.S. Lewis的文學鉅作《反璞歸真》。98年同名專輯《Sixpence None The Richer》中所收錄的"Kiss Me"，在被選為電影《窈窕美眉》主題曲與影集《戀愛世代》插曲後，不但拿下全美單曲亞軍、稱霸十多國外，更成為99年英國皇室指定的婚禮歌曲，估計約有兩億人與愛德華王子一同沈醉這愛的喜悅之中。四年後，魅力依舊，今年二月情人節，"Kiss Me"在美創下520萬人次的電台收聽記錄，並獲選為「史上十大親吻歌曲」。這一吻，果真持久！
