yes you may certainly use your laptop on the plane, but some airlines do not provide electric plug as it might use all the electricity on the plane.

Most of the first class, business class provides service to charge your laptop if your laptop is ran out of battery! But you may ask the airline for further information

yes, you can use laptop computer in the air. i am sure some airplanes have electric sockets such as virgin atlantic (premium economy, business & 1st class), cathay pacific (business & 1st class). these are the info i can tell you as i used to travel to UK by virgin atlantic
