急問極力子什麼時候代表要換喇?

I presume your car has manual transmission.

When you hit on the gas after fully releasing the clutch and your car revs up with very little or no power as if the clutch is still half released, it probably means your clutch has worn out and needs tightening or changing.

I do not know how much mileage that this will happen, I guess it depends very much on your driving habbits and how much abuse your clutch has gone through in the past. And if there isn't any of the above or other symtoms going on, then I personally don't think you need to change it at all!

This has been my personal experience a couple months back, and costed me some $3000HK, haha...

經常慢駛,轉波,或半放極力子.

Another way to test the clutch is to test it on steep slope. When the clutch is engage and you press gas pedal hard, the engine rpm goes up but your car won't accelerate, your clutch is slipping. Also, if you release the clutch relatively fast but the engine doesn't die immediate and with some hesitation. Then you clutch maybe slipping also. The orginal clutch can usually last 160,000 km in normal driving.
