getting a business started?

I am also starting a business with a directed clientele. I have found that sending out postcards with a short detail of my services, followed by a brochure, followed by a phone call. You also have to start out lower than your competition in order to give an incentive for others to give you a try. Business people are very conservative. They will keep doing the same thing and go to the same people over and over unless they see a real advantage to using you instead.

Call up the contractors and get some deals set up. I've learned that you need to be aggressive. People only work with you if they get benefits out of it - this is just how this world works.....
