穌聯再封個結果都一樣，就冇謂浪費氣力軍力喇

因為當時美國個態度勁硬！
佢地一定要穌聯放棄
美國也同穌聯講如果你折左佢，美國都會折番幾個導彈
咁穌聯一方面都驚原子彈，
另一方面，接受美國既建議又冇害
加上個陣時點都要有一方讓步呀麻

The Soviet Union lifted the Berlin Blockade, to a large extent because of the formation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) in April 1949. The NATO signatories agreed that an attack against one member would be considered as an attack against all. The Soviet Union dared not to challenge all the Western European countries and the US. Therefore, she lifted the Berlin Blockade.

In fact, the Berlin Blockade was costly; the Soviet Union would be able to see that the West could not support West Berlin for long. She had no sympathy towards the West Berliners.

As for the Cuban Missile Crisis, it was only a test on President Kennedy's ability. Kennedy was the youngest US president in history; he was also the first Catholic president. Khrushchev wanted to test if the US would be weakened under Kennedy's leadership. However, Kennedy's stern attitude surprised the Soviet Union. Because of fearing a total nuclear war with the US, which would destroy the whole world, the Soviet Union had to back down and withdrew the missiles from Cuba.
