get all of the x's on one side, then all of the other integers on the other side of the equals sign. remember to use inverse operations to do this. then follow the order of operations to simplify the the problem until you are left with x=?

i'm sorry that the other answerer didn't even try to help.

good luck

15x + 20 - 10x - 9 = 25x + 8 - 21x - 7
combine all like terms and solve.
5x + 11 = 4x + 1
I'll stop here.

first combine like terms to get:

5x+11=4x+1 now, subtract 4x from both sides

x+11=1 finally, subtract 11 from both sides
x = -10

pay attention in class or seek for a tutor. We're not here to give you the answer.

Gather like terms:
15x+20-10x-9 = 25x+8-21x-7
15x-25x+21x-10x = -20+9+8-7
x = -10
2007-04-02 12:26 pm
15x+20-10x-9 = 25x+8-21x-7
5x+11=4x+1
x = -10
