Hotels in Malaysia normally ranges from RM 60-200, but I think a standard double room cost around RM100/night. Of course do not expect five star service. It also depend on location too. Bukit Bintang in KL of course is more expensive than the rest of the country. Resort in some beachside destinations can be quite expensive too. For example, the Swiss Intl Resort in Lumut, Perak that I have been to is very nice, close to five star experience. If you want it cheap, then look out for packages online. Sometimes there are surprising bargains to be found. Beware that most promos are for Malaysians and Singaporeans only.
