Should or Should not GEM be cancelled??

GEM should not be cancelled.
Reasons for cancel:
- less and less new listings on GEM because most firms go to the main board instead.
- trading of GEM stocks are quite thin
- not much small and new start-up firms go listing, because the stock market condition is so good that even the 2/3 tier stocks can attract a lot of interest at the main board
Reasons for not cancel:
- if the stock market condition turns bad, small firms may not be able to list on the main board. GEM is their alternative.
- the listing requirements at GEM are more loose and may suitable for some firms
