係加減乘除入面,幾時要用equal,幾時要用equals?
仲有其他戈啲is are,make makes又係點分ga?

在加減乘除時, 用equal 用作verb 時第三身單數要加s, 用作noun 時則眾數要加s.例:
1 + 1 equals 2. (verb)
1 x 1 is the equal of 1 / 1
is 用作第三身單數, are 則用作第一, 二身及眾數.
make 等動詞在第三身單數時要加s = makes, 第一, 二身及眾數時用原式.

equal can be a verb or an adjective .
When it is used as an adjective, it can be followed by "to "

Equal doesn't need to be used in 加減乘除, because it needs to have an "s", so we need to use equals.
