$1400 was shared among Stella, Eva and Crystal. Stella got $100 more than Eva and Eva got $200 more than Crystal. How much did each of them got???

Let Crystal gets $xx + (x + 200) + (x + 300) = 1400
3x + 500 = 1400
3x = 900
x = 300
So , Stella gets 300 + 200 + 100 = $600,
Eva gets 300 + 200 = $ 500 ,
and Crystal gets $ 300

Crystal got z dollars.
z+(z+200)+(z+200+100)=1400
3z+500=1400
3z=900
z=300

Stella got 500+100=600 dollars

Let x be the amount of money Eva got.
x+100 be Stella's and x-200 be Crystal's.
[x+100]+x+[x-200]=1400
x+100+x+x-200 =1400
3x=1400-100+200
3x=1500
x=500
∴Stella got $600, Eva got $500 and Crystal got $300.
