設計是次活動,首先是為了將傳統教學模式轉變,讓學生為主導。學生透過自己從互聯網上搜尋資料、組員之間的討論學習來增加新的知識,而不是單依賴老師傳授。這樣能夠發展他們終生學習的基礎。
其次,可以訓練到學生的多項能力,如自學能力、使用資訊科技學習的能力、讀寫聽說四方面的能力和做小組報告需要的技巧等,所以讓學生自己分析資料、作簡報、彙報、書面報告等。
再者,加強師生的溝通。此網頁有討論區,可以讓老師即時知道學生對是次活動的掌握程度,或有疑惑的地方、感興趣的地方,或感想等資訊。這樣可以加強師生之間的溝通,可以讓一些內向的學生以文字方式發表他們的意見,及提供更多的分享。
最後,希望學生喜歡透過探索網頁來學習的模式,增強自己的自學能力;透過小組討論,激發他們的思維,從而對學習產生興趣。
