Energy (E) is power (P) times time (t)
E=P t
Cost = E (rate)

Cost = P t rate

Cost=840 x 8 hours (0.080/kwh) (1/1000)
Cost=$.537

You just multiply the power consumed in kilowatts (.84kw) times the hours it's consumed (8), and that times the cost in dollars per kwh($.08)

What's the tax rate? Does the electricity cost include delivery cost charged by the grid operator? :)

This is fairly straight forward. Find the total energy used : multiply the power X how long is was used.

Since you are paying by the kilowatt hour and kilowatts are thousands., divide by 1000 and then multiply by the cost of a kilowatt hour.
