-it helps to solve the problem arise from running out of fossil fuel
-nuclear can be used to generate a lot of energy for human daily life
-the relative mass of materials(radioactive materials) required to generate the same amount of energy from coal/petroleum is much smaller

-the pollution brought by nuclear plant is a serious concern/problem
-workers will have to expose themselves to radiation in working environments
-very dangerous if the nuclear plant is out of control
-the technique to concentrate the radioactive materials may be used to produce nuclear weapons
