So God created man in his own image , in the image of God he created him ; male and female he created * them .
Why is there a THEM at the end of the sentence ?
Is it possible to say " male and female he created " or " male and female , he created them ( with a comma ) " ?

... Rule over the fish * of the sea and the birds * of the air and over ...
Is it possible to say " Rule over the fish * in the sea and the birds * in the air " ?

2 : 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he * had been doing ; so ... Why is it past perfect continuous ? Can I say / the work he * had done / or / the work he did / ?

yes, thats the way we read and speech easier.

to some extent, i think no. i think Moses didnt mean to specify fish is in the sea, bird is in the air, but to decribe man rule the earth.

no, if so, should be without the word had finished. In fact the sentence is in pass perfect.

other than in, what alternatives can you think of?

by the way, other than Hebrew, other bible version are translated very early where those people didnt write like us. It was in a sense like a monk telling a story.
