What is difference between *between* and *among*?

between 係指兩個 object 之間, e.g. between the two classmates
among 係指多過兩個 object 之間, e.g. among all students in Form 5

其實 between us 如果係指我們兩人之間, 這是對的
如果係指我們三人之間, 就要用 among us 啦
