I think black and brown look fine together, but those are colors that look better together in the winter/fall time.
But then again, i'm one of those people who think brown and pink do not look right together (i was looking at some of the other answers lol)....

no, unless the brown is more red than brown (deep red that has a hint of brown), or if the brown is very very light (cream/beige with a brown undertone).
I'd avoid the combination of black and brown in all other case

If you have a nice chocolate brown and a light, sky blue, they are fine.

If it is dark brown, ABSOLUTELY NOT!! But, if it is like chocolate, or burnt orangey brown, Yes. Duh! As long as there is contrast, you are safe. Other wise it looks really tacky.

no...but those are 2 colors that go with almost any other color....so you can match them with almost anything....just not each other. sorry.

Black and brown doesnt look good together. Dont wear it together its not a good look.
Black looks good with pretty much all colors apart from brown!
Brown looks really good with pink! Not many people would think so but try it together it looks nice.

Well they're universal colors, so technically they should..unless you have like a solid black shirt and solid brown pants...the shirt and pants need to have a little of both colors in them...then you could pull it off.
