i think you are having your exam right now, isn't it? then just focus on your exam first, after exam, you would have lots of time to search where to go, what to do, and when to start.
from your message, i can understand how eager you want to do sth meaningful, but you must think of your budget. how much you can pay for the travelling or exchange? or who can support you if you want to be a volunteer? or what do you want to learn? any specific plan? or you just want to contribute to the society?
if i were you, i would choose an activity which could fulfill all of the above mentioned points, let me give you some hints!
For example, if you go on your studies, then some awards would be meaningful for promoting up to universities, and this also benefits to your life, what i mean is making your life full of LOVE and making your life meaningful.
the award that i mentioned is sth like "the outstanding volunteer",you can accumulate your voluntary services hours by joining some organization's activities.
i just simply type "volunteer" in yahoo search engine, and can get such result,
http://www.volunteering-hk.org/eindex.html
http://www.volunteer.org.hk/
also, the easiest step is going to the "Union/工聯會" to ask if there are any exchange programmes in summer, comparatively, union has much exciting exchange programme to those hold by school, (cos the exchange programme would be guided by teachers which would make the joiner somehow be bored), and the exchange programme fee is affordable to students, the contribution is to do a report for the trip and during preparing those reports, you will learn how to do a report and well-prepare to Form 6 studies and even your future work. In short, the above mentioned points are not important, the most important is you can know more new friends ranges from 16 to 23 whom has no generation gap, haha!
if you can find other activities, please post and share, thanks!
