sugar, a kind of carbohydrates which has sweet taste
when human intake sugar
the enzyme in the body will break down sugar into its simplest form, glucose
glucose is very important in respiration of our body
the equation of aerobic respiration in our body is
carbohydrate(glucose) → energy + water + carbon dioxide
as you can see
if there is no glucose, we cannot generate energy in our body properly
why i say properly? it's because both fat and protein can also be used
when our body is lack of glucose
but this is not good to our body
sucrose, or we call table sugar
have a formula of C12H22O11
it's a kind of double-sugar
and it will be broken down into glucose in our body
if there is a lack of sugar
our body cannot do respiration properly and we may feel dizzy
so the liver will produce glucagon to change glycogen into glucose
if there is too much sugar
the liver will produce insulin to change glucose into glycogen
some people which cannot change glucose into glycogen efficiently
will eject the glucose out of their body
these people are called diabetes patients
