wt will observe if hydrogen peroxide is decomposed in the presence of a cata lyst??
A catalyst is MnO2

You will see bubbles appearing. It is because:
Hydrogen peroxide is stable at room temperature.
The presence of a catalyst may cause it to decompose.

The rate of the reaction can be followed
by recording the volume of oxygen produced
(you must know a test for oxygen).
The catalyst used is Manganese(IV) oxide - MnO2(s)
Using more catalyst will show an increase in reaction rate.
This is because more catalyst will have a greater surface area
for the reaction to take place.
