Roger的意思是『收到』
這是個無線電通訊上用語
就像在講完一段話後,
都會在後面加上over已表示我已經說完了
會用out來表示『通話結束』一樣,

無線電是一個與國際溝通的方式
很多的用語都是早期各國共同制定的
所以會用一些特定的字辭來表達一定的意思
簡單,有力,不累贅,也不會造成誤會
所以當要表示我已收到時,都會以"Roger"或"Roger That"表示

無線電最初是軍事用的,有自己的一套用語,轉為民用時仍沿用這些用語。
roger 是第二次世界大戰時美軍通報告知對方剛剛他的話語或是命令已經正確無誤的收聽到了的術語,現在用Romeo代表,但一般無線電用家仍有用。

Roger also means "copy", "heard you" on the radio in the military and civilian aviation. This usage comes from the letter "R" of "received" which in the old phonetic alphabet was called "roger" in radio alphabets
