的士司機可否拒收500元紙幣和1000元紙幣

according to Common Law, it is not possible to a taxi driver to reject receive big notes...

HK note is defined as LEGAL TENDER, it must be accept for medium of exchange at HK area.

however, if the passenger notify the taxi driver he/she only got 500 and 1000 notes BEFORE TAXI STARTED ON BUSINESS AND taxi driver REALLY don't have change... then Taxi driver can have right to reject receive big notes...
