I would take him to the vet. It could be a problem with his kidneys or thyroid, or he could have swallowed something like a string. If he's not eating or drinking and he's still vomiting he could get dehydrated quickly.

Please take your cat to the vet. I lost mine recently to an illness called renal failure, which sounds similar to what you have been discribing.
You cannot make a cat drink water, force feeding him will make him even worse and throw up more. I really can't stress enough how important it is for the sake of your kitty's life - get him to the vet. Don't waste time. I have only just had this happen to me, so it is still fresh and i know how fast they can deteriorate. I was told i would have about 2 months before my cat would need to be put to sleep but she rapidly got worse and i only had her 2 weeks. Please get this little kitty some professional help... Good Luck and please inform us of what happened

Jesus Christ, woman....get medical help for the poor cat immediately! I can't believe you even have to ask! When you see an animal suffering like that, you should take it to the vet without giving it a second thought! I thought this was common sense! Jeez...
It sounds like the cat is dying. Dehydration and failure to drink water usually indicates kidney failure! TAKE THE POOR ANIMAL TO A VET IMMEDIATELY! If your vet is closed, find a vet with an emergency room that is open! Go!

If there's an emergency vet in your area, go there now. If not and you have to wait until morning, try to feed him some boiled chicken and rice. This is not a hairball. Hairballs come up pretty easily and they don't lose appetite over that. As soon as the vet's office opens, call and tell them what's happening. They'll tell you to bring him in right away.

In the meantime check the cat food recall list and see if his food is on it. Pet him and comfort him. Poor kitty.

I was just reading a news bit on Yahoo news and Comcast news that all kinds of cat and dog food have been recalled...it is causing many cats to go into renal (kidney) failure...your cats symptons are what they were describing. Probably get it to the vet.

It is a ABC news video. Menu Foods recalls dog food sold under 48 brands & cat food sold under 40 brands...Good luck.

You need to take him to the vet as soon as possible, tell the vet its an emergency.

When a cat throws up its really serious. But most of the time the vet can help it.

go to the vet right away it is obvious that your cat is sick.

do not let your cat die of dehyrdration for something that might have been prevented.

call yet another vet, like now! you do no longer prefer to play around with this over the weekend. meanwhile you're able to do unflavored Pedialyte with the dropper. you will additionally might desire to start forcing nutrition if he does not consume by the 36-forty 8 hour mark. whilst they supply up eating they are at intense hazard for fatty liver ailment. blend meat toddler nutrition (study label, no onions!) with water and feed with an oral syringe. you are able to no longer do plenty approximately this occasion. he's in all probability the two unwell or has some sort of blockage and not something you're able to do will advance that subject. you are able to in basic terms shop him going for yet another day or 2 till you may get him to the vet. there's a small hazard it extremely is an endemic he will beat on his very own yet it extremely isn't the type of ingredient to play around with.

Take your cat to the vet, it is at risk of hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease), if the illness doesn't kill him first. There isn't anything else you can do but get him to a vet for proper professional diagnosis and treatment. The foam is a sign the cat hasn't eaten in a while.

He needs to go to the vet. Hopefully he was not poisoned. When a cat doesn't eat he is sick. Need to check for kidney failure etc. Even with vomiting a furball I would think he would eat! Good luck-poor kitty-hope he will be ok!

1. Get a flashlight and some help, and check his throat for anything that might be stuck in there.

2. Find an emergency vet. ASAP. Tonight, if you can.

3. If you can't get a vet until morning, try to keep him drinking. It's probably better that he doesn't eat anyway, but he needs to stay hydrated.

Last year my cat vomitted somewhere around 15-18 times. The vet checked and found no reason. He said not to give her any food for 24 hours and only a little water at a time. Then slowly reintroduce the food a tablespoon to start with of WET food. Slowly increase the amounts every 3-4 hours. After 2-3 days then begin reintroducing the dry food mixed with the wet food. It took about a week but she was just fine. Also, the Vet did an xray of her body to check for any type of obstruction.

He's sick. You need to give him water. Try an eye dropper or a syringe and aim for the back of the throat. Give him about a teaspoon at a time. Too much at one time & he'll barf again.

Get him to the vet 1st thing tomorrow morning. Good luck.

My dog did the same thing. I literally thought he was dead. He would just lay there with his eyes open and never move. He didn't eat, drink, walk, or nothing. If I tried to get him to walk he would drag his back legs, like he was paralyzed half way down his body. It was the saddest thing ever. I took him to the vet and they did umpteen thousands of million dollar tests and turned out he had kidney disease. They asked me some questions that had to do with causing his problem. They asked me if we had been feeding him table scraps and if so, had I just started giving them to him. Well stupid me DID just start giving him table scraps and he was 9 years old. They told me that since his body wasn't use to all the fat and stuff from the table scraps, his kidneys broke down and couldn't handle it. We ended up having to put him to sleep or he would of died a painful, slow death other words. Now I'm not sure if any of this relates to your problem, but it sounds like what my dog did. He vomited white foam and never ate. He did just what you described and then what I said as well. I know some cats don't eat scrap food, but then again some cats do, so I thought maybe it could be a possibility. But, yes you should most definitely take him to the vet. Don't freak out, good luck, and best of wishes.

Have you fed your cat canned or pouched wet food recently? I work at a pet store and we just got recalls on over 40 different types of canned or pouched wet food. The suppliers say the cause is unknown, but we had many vomiting cats and dogs brought into our clinic...Some had to be put to sleep because it was too late. Some were also vomiting up foamy white fluids. Get your cat into the vet NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if your cat didn't eat the canned or pouched wet food, the least the vets can do is give your cat fluids through an iv because if your cat has thrown up that much it is probably dehydrated by now. Please go to the vet. Good luck!

any time a cat throws up that often, something is definitely wrong. it could range from serious (lymphoma) to not as serious, (irritable bowel syndrome). Either way you have to take him to the vet, otherwise it could get more and more serious.

Foamy white vomit means he is nauseated........ I would say to hold off on taking him to the vet, HOWEVER, he has vomited more than 10 times. Cats are small and can dehydrate quickly. This can become more of a serious problem than it actually is if he dehydrates. Call your vet as soon as you can!

Could be a fur ball. They sell fur ball remedies at pet stores. They come in a tube like toothpaste. I recommend one that is meat flavored- it is easier to get them to eat it. The cat should lick it right off your finger.
