住寄宿家庭的好處和壞處

我有個朋友在加拿大一間叫NCC(Niagara Christian Community of Schools)讀書,原本住宿舍,但經過一段時間後,突然想轉住寄宿家庭,我想問下住寄宿家庭的好處和壞處, and, 假若真的轉寄宿家庭的話,需要做什麼(eg,手續......etc)

寄宿家庭既好處係學英文會快d, 因為你同寄宿家庭要用英文溝通你會當地既生活有比較深既認識
唔好既地方係自由度會低咗, 始終住人地屋企, 你要適應人地既生活習慣, 而呢d可能會同你自己既生活習慣好唔同
仲有就係, 寄宿家庭有好有壞, 好既當然會當你係家庭成員咁, 對你照顧有加; 唔好既, 只為賺錢, 會對你不聞不問, 伙食唔好, 最差既係甚至有case會侵犯寄宿學生......
我有朋友住過好好既寄宿家庭, 亦有住過好差既, 完全睇你好唔好彩, 你叫你朋友好好考慮一下啦
如果真係轉寄宿家庭既話, 同學校提出, 佢地會幫你摛

You should contact its representative in Hong Kong to handle your enquiry. In fact, homestay is pretty good as the student can learn more Canadian culture.
