小二英文+ing

-----有 is,am 後面時要加ing
-----尾二果個字係a,e,i,o,u,就要加多一個字(running),但playing就唔洗~because playing 有個y係度~
-----最尾果個字係e就要減一個字(taking)
-----又唔加又唔減就最simple(singing)

動名詞（gerund）是動詞（verb）加上 “-ing”後而轉化成的名詞（noun）。要注意的是，動名詞雖然由動詞改變而成，但它的詞性屬名詞。換個說法，即一般句子中使用名詞的位置，我們都可以以動名詞取代。(i am looking forward to (seeing) you~)通常to後面唔洗加ing,但因為這個seeing係gerund~

基本上，+ing 有時要留意最後的2個字母；

一般情況下唔加又唔減:
sing......singing
cry........crying
drink .....drinking

要加多一個字:
尾2的字母如果是 a,e,i,o,u 其中一個,便要加多一個跟最尾字母一樣的字,才可加 ing
swim.......swimming
sit .......sitting
get......getting

有時減一個字(making),
最尾的字母如果是 a,e,i,o,u 其中一個,便要減少它,才可加 ing
dance........dancing
face .......facing

1.加多一個字eg(swimming)
2.減一個字eg(making)
3.直接+ing

總之是xx continuous tense的時候,verb 便要+ing
eg.
present continuous----------is,am,are + ing
past continuous-------------was,were + ing
另外 preposition之後的verb亦要+ ing
of,by,from,at,for是preposition,因此它們之後的verb要+ ing

studying在這裡是作一個動名詞(gerund)，由於一個句子中不能同時有2個verb存在，因此便把原是verb的study轉成noun,即studying,這便是gerund動名詞。

有一些特定的動詞之後的動詞必須轉成gerund

love ,like ,hate,avoid , consider , deny, dislike , enjoy,finish , image, keep ,mention,mind,
practise, prohibit, resist ,stop, sugget , understand, suffer ,admit
