牧羊狗英文是甚麼?

牧羊狗類統稱: Herding Dog

Collie，Shepherd，Sheepdog 都是 Herding Dog。

邊原牧羊Border Collie 是Collie，是最聰明和最出名的。

德國牧羊狗German Shepherd Dog，就是著稱的狼狗。

Shetland Sheepdog是小型牧羊狗，通常我們都叫Shetlies，而大牧羊狗是叫Collie，神犬拉西就是Collie了。

Herding Dog 很有很多種，Old English Sheepdog，Australian Shepherd....etc...

我是想說，牧羊狗的英文不止一個，要小心用。when u go out and see a dog looks like a German shepherd, u'll ask the owner "is it a shepherd?". In north america we use all these names and we all understand they're herding dog and they instincts is to herd. I hope i'm clear enough to let u understand.

oh, and for chinese: 牧羊狗 = the dog which do the herding job in the farm. no matter the dog is herding the sheep, the cattle, the hourse, they are still called 牧羊狗. we will not call them 牧牛狗，牧馬狗。
