1.When a certain liquid-in-glass thermometer is heated, the glass expands more than the liquid. What would happen to the liquid column when temperature increases? Could such a thermometer be used to measure temperature?

2. 我本書話 increase一個liquid in glass thermometer 的bulb 的size,可以增加sensitivity, 但亦因為bulb 裏面的液體多了,heat up or cool down 裏面的liquid 要耐d, 所以give temperature 亦耐左,
我既問題就係, sensitivity 唔係指佢顯示所量度既溫度快唔快咩? 時間耐左又點算係增加sensitivty呢?

若玻璃的膨脹的情度比液體大,當溫度上升,液柱會下降。
這種設計亦可用作量度溫度,不過它和正常的溫度計不同,溫度高的讀數在下方,溫度低時讀數在上方。

靈敏度(sensitivity):是表示溫度計對溫度反應的快慢,愈快它的靈敏度愈高。
液泡(bulb)的體積愈大,正如你所說,不會增加溫度計的靈敏度(sensitivity),只會增加它的準確度(accuracy)。
