how can i cut my video file size?

I have some large video .WMV files and would like to cut them so that i don't need to view them all. Pls advise if anyone knows i can cut what i want instead of having the entire file. Chinese or english answers are ok! thanks:D

my recommendation is convert the .wmv file to mpeg first with WINAVI Converter...and use mpgtx to split the file as needed ...
You can search for mpgtx very fast yahoo/google ...
a very famous command line software that can split MPEG file in batch.
Or you can use other popular software to edit the clip.
