When a metal rod is heated , the length of the rod increase by 8% . Find the percentage increase in volume of the metal rod .

Let L1 be new length,. L2 be old length
and, V1 be new volume, V2 be old volume

Then,
L1/L2 = 1.08
V1/V2 = (L1/L2)^3 = 1.259712

Percentage increase in volume = 25.9712%
