Like swkwok1980 said, follow the KIS concept -"Keep It Simple", use simple English, simple sentences, support your views with technical details, and of course, read more, write more and make sure you review your own work several times before you submit.

You will get there, one of these days. Don't give up.

簡單的英文就已足夠, 寫得太花巧, 辭不達意反而更不好
所以最重係的是信的肉容, 寫之前要想出清楚信的主旨
再加上適當的理據 (如相片) 已可以

多數都係搵以前的人的信看看看看，用得的就抄。

不過其實做工程的人英文多數都唔係太好，所以都唔需要太擔心的，簡單地將你要寫的東西用最簡單的文法寫出來就可以了。最重要是明白嘛～
