Preparation of soluble salts

Method 1 --Action of acid on metal /insoluble base / insoluble carbonate

Metal + acid ----->salts +hydrogen
Insoluble base + acid ------>salts + water
Insoluble carbonate +acid ----->salts +water +carbon dioxide

STEP:

1. Mix them under heating. Add excess Metal/Insoluble base/Insoluble carbonate.

2.Filter ecess Metal/Insoluble base/Insoluble carbonate with filter funnel and filter paper

3.To heat the solution left to evaporate the water .

4.Set the concentrated solution aside to cool and crystallize .

5.Wash the crystals with a little distilled water .

6.Dry crystals with filter paper.

Method 2 --Action of acid on alkali/souble carbonate

----Titration

Preparation of insoluble salts

----Prepcipitation
---Mix a solution containing the cation of the salt and anion of the salt together .

For example:

Ag+ (aq) + Cl- (aq) -------> AgCl(s)

When the ions of the insoluble salt combine ,the precipitate of the salt forms .

most of the people prepare salt by adding acid to base

e.g. NaOH (aq) + HCl (aq) --> NaCl (aq) + H2O (l)
NaCl is soluble in water

AgOH (aq) + HCl (aq) --> AgCl (s) + H2O (l)
AgCl is insoluble in water

i thinks you need some Chlorine and Sodium.Just put the Sodium (metal) in the Chlorine(gas).Then you will get salt.Or you can get some sea water to boil it.After all the water have gone, you will also get the salt.
