You mentioned that you are now studying in Brisbane, so please pay more attention in your English grammer. Don't let Australian look us down... "I am not suggestion..." What are you talking about?? It should be "I don't suggest people going to Brisbane".
Australia is famous of its weather. The situation of "four seasons in one day" always happened. Do you think 18 degree celsius is too cold?? I don't think so. It happens in most of countries in Europe or USA. The only difference is that the highest temperture is not as high as in Brisbane. So what do you complain about???
Travelling doesn't always means "shopping". If I need to buy Gucci, why don't go to Paris or other European cities. People go to Brisbane is mainly for going to Gold Coast. You can find those famous brand name in Gold Coast already.
I don't really understand what you want to complain.

I don't want to "inch" you, but you need to understand the temperature difference of 18 degrees celcius is not so strange. You can find it everywhere it Europe. From -5 degree to 15 degree at noon. It's not a weird things.

I am living in Wellington. I don't think here is better. I can tell is freezing in the morning, but during afternoon is sunshine. Just like what you say, four seasons ( in whole day). I ever go to Queentown, but I know there is a nice and romantic place.
