Happy BirthdayHappy BirthdayI've got a lot of presents
that I'd like to give to you.
I'll give you all my Brussels sprouts
and all my liver too.

I'll give you all my gym socks
when they really start to stink.
I'll give you all my pens when
they are running out of ink.

I'll give you all my broken toys
and empty jars of paste.
I'll give you all my bubble gum
that's chewed and lost its taste.

I'll give you all the dust balls that
I found beneath my bed.
I'll give you all my batteries
as soon as they are dead.

So have a happy birthday,
you're a special friend indeed,
and please accept this trashcan
full of stuff that I don't need. --Kenn Nesbitt

My Sister Thinks She's Santa ClausMy Sister Thinks She's Santa ClausMy sister thinks she's Santa Claus.
It's really kind of cute.
She likes to shout out "Ho, Ho, Ho!"
and wears a bright red suit.

She carries lots of toys around
inside a great big sack
and keeps her eight pet reindeer
with her sleigh out in the back.

She even has a workshop
where she makes a lot of noise
directing all the elves who help
by making brand new toys.

Then once a year, on Christmas Eve,
she flies off in her sleigh
delivering her gifts around the world
for Christmas Day.

She'd make a perfect Santa
which is why it's just too bad
my sister can't be Santa Claus;
see, Santa is our dad. --Kenn Nesbitt

Sick FishSick FishThe fish in our aquarium
are looking rather ill,
and most of them are turning
kind of green around the gill.

I might have fed them too much food,
forgot to clean their tank,
or maybe they're allergic to
the toys and junk I sank.

Perhaps I broke the thermostat.
I could have cut their air.
What's certain is they're sickly
from my downright lack of care.

But even though they're looking ill
I still have cause to gloat;
they're obviously talented--
they're learning how to float! --Kenn Nesbitt

I've thought of a poem,
I carry it carefully,
Nervously in my head,
Like a saucer of milk;
In case I should spill some lines
Before I can put it down.

題目：Songs
There is nothing like songs,
　　that give us a lot of joys;
We can sing them accompanying with flutes or horns,
　　and don't forget our endowed voice;
Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti,
　　to us these are very big gift；
You can hum them when you have tea,
　　or chant them when you alone in lift;
You can sing a song when you feel happy,
　　you can write a song when you feel sad too;
Songs are so precious and so lovely,
　　Songs are for me and for all of you.
