About hydrogen bond

Terylene, a kind of polyester, cannot form hydrogen bond with water. It also have oxygen from the carbonyl group of the structure.Why that it cannot form H-bond with the water?

見你上次採用我0既答案 (其實我係同女朋友一齊玩yahoo 知識), 答埋你呢題啦.

上面第二個答案係錯, 佢求其當左Terylene 係PET, 跟本完全唔同...

比個SITE 你睇睇中文版, 其實會有H-BOND, 不過細心睇佢個結構呢, 你會發現BENZENE GROUP 好BULKY, 水未必走到過去.

"STERIC HINDRANCE" 可以用呢個字去答題目.
