19世紀末與20世紀的紅外線耳溫計

據我所知紅外線耳溫計早係1984已經面世，當時還未普及，到了2003年，才被廣泛使用，但請兩者之間有無沒有分別呢?
如果有，分別係咩呢?

我想以前的耳溫計體型較龐大,量度時間比較快.

現在的耳溫計龐型很少,量度時間只需數秒,而且很精確,價錢亦很便宜.

沒有分別, 原理是一樣, 都是探測人體所發出的熱量
