"you can stay at home rather than go to plaza" is correct.

It's because 'go' actually follows 'can'; so 'go' should be bear-infinitive because it follows modal verb 'can'.

e.g. I will rather play than work
this is another sentence using "rather than" but it is in a different structure, maybe u will think it is easier to understand.

you can stay at home rather than go to a plaza的文法正確, rather 意指:倒不如..., 不會無緣無故轉present continues tense
