u can book the hostel on-lline. There are many different hostel in Singapore, u can find it on the internet, I booked the hostel in Singapore on-line b4

I do believe if you make the reservation and pre paid to payment, there shall be no restrictions.

Most hotel all accept the credit card for the guarantee and you only need to give the card information as well as the travel document info for record.

For the reservation through travel agent, actually once they confirmed the booking for you, you need to pay for the ticket as well as the accommodation within a certain period (like 7 days). Afterward, a hotel voucher would be issued as well as the air-ticket.
