詩歌舞街的英文是Sycamore Street，這一條街是附近以樹木系列來命名的其中一條街道。Sycamore是無花果樹，對於香港這一個充滿中國人的地方，無花無果是不吉利的，於是就沒有意譯，用了音譯了。

Sycamore Street was named with the name of a plant - Sycamore Maple. The street was filled with Sycamore Maple on the two sides, and the chinese name of Sycamore Maple, which is "no flower" was originally used to name the street. However, in Chinese traditions, no flowers or no seeds are the sign of unfortunate such that finally the pronounciation of the English word "Sycamore" was adopted as the name of the street.
