english problem

Attempt 跟 try 的用法若同；attempt比較正式，try就是常用的簡單語。

John tries to climb the wall.
John attempts to climb the wall.

I try to find a solution.
I attempt to find a solution.

This is the athlete's third try. (noun)
This is the athelete's third attempt. (noun)

Probe the problem 在句式上是正確的，但意思就不行。你可以probe一個人或一件事情(probe someone / probe into something)。第一個用法是vt，因為你可以直接跟一個人問問題。第二個用法是vi，因為你不可以向物件直接提問，需要向他人取得資料，然後去下個定案。

你寫的首兩句句子我都不太明白。第三句就多了個about; I attempt to finish the mission已很足夠了。
